What is Unite My City?

Unite My City is a movement of local congregations operating together in unity through relationships, prayer, worship and service in order to transform cities and impact nations.

Why Unity?

Relationships

Unite My City hosts a variety of opportunities for lead pastors to meet and build relationships. As pastoral relationships grow, trust is established and the table set for greater levels of collaboration between congregations. If you are a pastor in the Tulsa area and want to connect please contact us here.

Prayer

Coordinated prayer gatherings for pastors, leaders and congregations is critical to seeing unity come to pass and sustained in a city. Praying in agreement over specific issues in corporate times of prayer is a major part of seeing transformation come to our cities.

Worship

Music can be a unifying agent crossing a variety of barriers in the Church. Times of corporate worship are strategic opportunities for the Body of Christ in a city to intentionally come together to worship our God in a spirit of unity beyond their own church family.

Serve

The first three pillars help create a culture of unity in the church and are witnessed more by the Church themselves. Congregations uniting through service is the powerful component of visibly showing our unity to our city while meeting real needs in our communities. By uniting together to serve we believe our love for one another becomes a reflection of God’s love to the world around us. The synergy that takes place among these four pillars creates a culture of love that will draw people to Jesus (John 17:23).

Inspiring a Movement

We want to do our part to inspire this movement by sharing stories of God’s church working in unity from across the Tulsa area and other cities around the United States. We hope these stories and the blogs help others see what God is doing, catch the vision and run within their own city.

Guiding Principles

Focused on God’s command to love Him and each other, we encourage the Body of Christ to put our differences aside and put each other first. As we focus on pointing people to Jesus, fulfilling our common mission, we strive to keep secondary issues second and each other first. By continuing to do this we can walk in the unity we have in Christ. Recognizing doctrine is a dividing line and it’s importance the Lausanne Covenant is a general guiding principle we follow.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony (Colossians 3:14).
